One of the biggest results of this experiment is knowing what the Word really says. I listen to the TrueChristiansTM and watch their movies. I see glaring mistakes, that should embarrass any Christian who watches these programs! Not only do they not portray the Word of God accurately, but they continue the traditions of man.
When so many "Christians" never read the Word, the visual interpretation of the Bible should be accurate. No wonder the Church is so splintered! Without the Holy Spirit to ensure unity of thought and belief, Christianity is a sham! There is no way of knowing what the word of their god is. We know that the translations from the original languages is poor at best. But when liberty is taken with the mass media to distort the word more, can there be any truth left?
No wonder that Jesus himself said:
Luke 18:8 I tell you he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth."

As a gay man, an atheist, and a scientist, I am making a request to anyone who believes he/she is a christian. In a way this request is one of the most selfish/selfless thing that I might ever do in my life. This is a selfish request because I am asking other people to make significant changes in their lives. It is also a selfless request because if more christians became Christ-like we would have peace in and for America. By extension this peace would extend to the world as well. This peace does not come from converting everyone to christianity. This peace would come from love and tolerance, something sorely lacking from today's christian.
This is also an experiment. I expect an one of a number of outcomes. One may point to the (non)existance of the god of the Bible. The others outcomes will be like a form of the Law of Entropy. (More on this idea later). And yes, as an atheist and a scientist I can ask these questions without overt bias and without being a theist. Science can be applied to any hypothesis, in this case the god hypothesis, and results can be analyzed.
I can already imagine some of you might be wondering (even outraged) that I have not given certain words the respect of capitializtion. In my view, something must deserve the respect of capitaliztion before recieving that respect. The god of the Bible does not, as yet, deserve this repect. When proof that it/he/she exists then I will change format. The Bible does exist, it is one of the oldest documents man has kept, and it has historic relevance.
From the simplist point of view, only one source of knowledge about god exists. All others have inspiration from the original. The question is which is this original source. The original source must be the Bible. In this blog I will only use one version: the NIV translation, more about this shortly.
